Lives on the Palouse Change When Communities Care

UNITED WAY 2005-2006 ALLOCATIONS

To become a United Way agency, a local organization must demonstrate how it provides vital social services to the people of Whitman County and the Palouse region.  To receive funding, the agency then participates in the annual United Way allocation process.

Each year, an all-volunteer committee from United Way of Pullman evaluates each agency's performance over the past year as part of this allocation process. Agencies are also invited to make a presentation of their plans and financial needs for the year ahead to the allocation committee.

Based on each agency's results, plans for the coming year and funding requests, the committee prepares its recommendations to the full United Way of Pullman Board of Directors, which makes the final decisions.
